St Ignatius Centre, Ordsall Salford

Salford Hope Centre

Trusts and Foundations

We are delighted to hear from any trust or foundation who would like to help us secure a sustainable future for the former St Ignatius Church Ordsall Salford.

The daily activities of the centre are designed to deal with issues which create barriers for people to participate in mainstream society, such as lack of confidence, loneliness and isolation, wellbeing support for refugees and asylum seekers, mental health, drug, alcohol and sexual health and which have persistently caused the escalation of disadvantages, including unemployment in the neighbourhood, including young people especially young NEET.

The centre will provide daily, a safe space through which different stakeholders in Salford can be brought together to forge a shared understanding as well as create an integrated and cohesive community where people from diverse backgrounds having similar life opportunities can work together. The daily activities of the project will be concerned with linking micro-assets to the macro-environment, helping Salford residents to drive community development process themselves by identifying and mobilising existing, but often unrecognised assets, and thereby responding to and creating local economic opportunities.
